Thanks to their low profile, high impedance design, they do not require batteries to operate. Note that these microphones are available in two finishes: dark brown or wood.

Very good simple single-coil soundhole passive pickup. Used to amplify a Furch folk acoustic guitar. The only practical flaws are the cable being a bit short and fixed. It would have been perfect if this cable had been removable. No need to disassemble the pickup to switch from amplified acoustic to simple acoustic... Something to think about at Fishman...
