The silk & steel wound strings are more flexible and have a much less metallic sound than traditional bronze ones. Their projection is a bit weaker, which highlights the B and high E strings. Another sound balance, therefore, which suits fingerstyle and my guitar (a Cort NTLCE whose bass has become predominant).
