The 80/20 bronze, commonly known as brass, is the original alloy chosen for acoustic guitar strings by John D'Addario Sr. and John D'Angelico in the 1930s. They attract many enthusiasts of traditional or vintage for the history they convey. I've loved these strings for seven years - They are perfect on my Martin OM-28 - They seem to offer soft tonal depths in the midrange and bass - Also, they last a long time - I play every day for more than two hours and only change them every four months - I make sure to carefully wipe them after each session - The guitar is immediately put away in its case...
