Description

Elixir strings are anything but ordinary strings! They have a unique Goretex coating that gives them a life 4 to 5 times longer. Touch, compare and you will find they sound! With extra-ordinary guitars and extra-ordinary strings, Elixir was the first to make coated strings.
They are perfect: anti-corrosion, pleasant to the touch, a prolonged life of 4 to 5 times and above all they sound!

Incredible lifespan without loss of sound quality (power & crystalline) "Antirust"="Antirouille": 5-6 months with cleaning just with a cloth - without FastFret !! (otherwise the coating will come off) / Perfect balance bass-mid-treble / left hand touch soft without squeaking in transitions. Right hand playing with nails and/or picks (unlike other Exilir strings where the coating comes off after a few days of pick strokes...). Even if they are more expensive, these strings are the best in terms of balance and aging, the most pleasant to play, that I have tried to date. (PS: they are sometimes cheaper at Thomann ;-).

They may seem expensive at first, but they really last a long time due to the coating, and the feel is incomparable compared to other strings, I have never been able to go back to other brands since I started using these.

Excellent strings that I mounted on my Ovation, they bring a lot of brightness and more sustain. However, on my Martin, they don't add much more, they don't enhance the guitar, I prefer Ernie Ball.
