Korg MS-20 MINI

Description

The design of the MS-20 mini was supervised by the engineers of the original MS-20, which makes this synthesizer a complete and authentic replica that will delight lovers of this legendary synth. Every detail of the initial model has been reproduced, up to the packaging and the manual included. However, Korg engineers took the opportunity to add non-existent connectors in 1978 with a Midi input and a USB port.

It's confirmed for the 50th anniversary of KORG the Japanese brand re-publishes its legendary synthesizer, the MS20 in analog! Finally find the legendary sound of electronic music at an affordable price! Korg engineers (the same as for the original!) Worked on a perfect reproduction of the original electronic diagrams. Reissued at 86% of its original size, it is nonetheless powerful and sounds as furiously as its ancestor.

You will therefore find 2 oscillators, a mixer, 2 filters (a high pass, a low pass), 1 LFO, 2 envelopes, 1 external signal processor, the sample & hold and the famous patch matrix to get you started in some experiments.

This little thing comes from space. Being a fan of drum'n'bass and well-crafted basslines with powerful sound designs, I must say this miracle box did not disappoint me. I have long used renowned VSTs like Reason's Thor or Serum on Ableton, but this thing has nothing to do with all that, we are leagues above the VSTs which, despite their reputations, will never match the sound of an analog synthesizer. The handling is extremely quick provided you know the basics of synthesis (Envelopes, modulation, oscillators, filters, etc.) and the sounds are extremely rich once you start playing with it. If you are looking for your first synth, this gem will be your most faithful friend. If you don't have it yet, it's time to get one. Kudos to Korg, I never expected to have such a complete and modular instrument at this price.... (Show more)
