The M-Track Solo is a compact audio interface, measuring just 16.4cm wide, 4.5cm deep, and just 5.5cm high. With such measurements, she would go almost unnoticed on your desk! But under this small size hides a very transparent Crystal preamp developed by M-Audio, ensuring the signal processing of the XLR / jack combo input, assisted by 16 bits / 48 kHz analog / digital converters for the most precise rendering. .

An interface for all your instruments
The XLR / jack combo input available to the M-Track Solo has the huge advantage of offering increased versatility, not limiting it to just plugging in a single type of instrument. Cleverly combining an XLR and a jack, it allows you to connect a microphone as well as a line level device, such as a digital piano or a drum machine. It incorporates 48V phantom power to power your studio condenser microphones. The second input, in 6.35 mm jack format, has an input level selector allowing you to connect your guitar as well as your line level devices.

A simple and efficient monitoring system
The M-Track Solo presents a simple but effective monitoring system, whether microphone, line or instrument, via the mini-jack headphone output or the main outputs in jack format, without any latency. The USB / Direct Mono switch allows you to select the source of the preview, between a preview of the signal coming from the computer (USB) and a preview of all the summed inputs in mono (Direct Mono). This system greatly simplifies recording new parts, or adding parts to an existing composition.

The M-Track Solo comes with a complete set of software, providing everything you need to make professional recordings immediately. Thanks to two powerful Pro Tools M-Audio First Edition DAWs and MPC Beats DAWs, this interface gives you everything you need to give your songs, podcasts or live streaming a professional look. It also features a powerful mixing suite including 20 plugins, the AVID Effects Collection, and two powerful virtual instruments: Eleven Lite for guitarists, and Xpand! 2, a highly versatile and amazing sounding synthesizer.

excellent interface, no recognition or compatibility issues under Win10. Works well with SL7 pro, Sound Forge, Audacity... Perfect. Just occasionally difficulties switching to 48kHz with crashes. Haven't taken the time to study the issue.

Difficult to judge a product after just a few days of use, especially since I took this external card to replace an Audigy that is no longer detected by w10 after an update (thanks Microsoft). So in terms of quality, it's better than my Audigy sound card, which is already not bad. The case is light, the level controls are easy to access, the installation and hardware recognition posed no problem. Not yet tested in MAO.
