The DV NY Series
The DV NY for baritone saxophone will appeal to players seeking the best possible mouthpiece for playing and sound. This mouthpiece is based on the popular DV model but has undergone several modifications, the most important being a deep chamber. The DV NY is intended for saxophonists who want to achieve a beautiful, rich, and traditional baritone saxophone sound and who also want a free-blowing mouthpiece.
The DV NY mouthpiece produces a darker, less bright sound than the more modern DV series. The deep baffle of the DV NY chamber delivers a magnificent sound typical of the jazz of the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Surprisingly easy to blow, the DV NY will delight you.
Three goals in creating the DV NY saxophone mouthpieces:
- Create the most efficient mouthpiece possible: no choking and little resistance
- Emulate the sound of classic saxophonists from the 50s and 60s, while giving the sound extra richness thanks to the secondary window

DV NY Series vs DV
Both mouthpieces have a full and resonant sound thanks to the secondary window. The DV will have more projection and be brighter due to the raised floor of the chamber, while the DV NY will have a more traditional jazz sound and projection due to the deep and full chamber.
