No one knows flatwound bass strings better than Thomastik. Inspired by the "Spirocore" double bass strings, the Jazz Flat Wound series allows bassists to enjoy the warm and round sound that has made the Austrian company famous. Thomastik uses a very flexible steel core wrapped with a silk winding. The outer winding is a genuine flat-wound ribbon, made from a special nickel alloy. The result is an incredible tonal depth and an enhanced fundamental that is not available on any other flatwound string.
