Good head, faithful to the sound of the bass that is plugged in. At this price, let's go for it.

An amp that arrived to me after more than 1 month of waiting. Indeed, it was "lost" (?) in the premises of the HyperCarrefour in my city, chosen as part of the parcel relay. I had to struggle between Woodbrass customer service and Carrefour. I want to salute all the staff of Woodbrass customer service who did what was necessary for the amp to be returned to me. Woodbrass even did more without me asking for anything (I was tired of fighting!). To talk about the amp, it corresponds exactly to what I expected. Many adjustments are possible to obtain varied bass sounds. In slap it slaps! With the finger, a pure delight. Let's hope its longevity is up to the mark. Thanks again Woodbrass and no hard feelings ;-)... (Show more)

A quite surprising amp head, due to its size and price. It's not, as one might think, a cheap Markbass head, the sound is definitely there, and the punch as well. After that, you either like or dislike the tone (it's not the most neutral, there is a slight coloration), but the possibilities are just impressive. You can shape the sound as you wish, while respecting the character of the bass that will be upstream. A real nice surprise! I use it with a Hartke speaker, the mix is quite explosive.

The equipment purchased meets my expectations. The names of the buttons (VLE and VFP) are not very intuitive... It takes a little time to get used to them.

Purchase to replace the original faulty head of a cmd 121p amp. Apart from the lower power, which is what I expected, the sound is completely different: it is duller and less precise than the base head of the cmd 121. You need to adjust by adding mid highs and lowering the bass to get something just passable. (double bass with David Gage pickup).
