The Bassbone OD is a bass preamp with 2 instrument inputs, each featuring its own level control, a super powerful interactive passive equalizer, and a low-frequency filter to help eliminate resonances. Channel A is equipped with a PZB footswitch that increases sensitivity and load to 10 MΩ to optimize response for piezo pickups commonly used on double basses. Channel B, meanwhile, adjusts the load correction (impedance) aimed at optimizing the response of a passive instrument such as a vintage electric bass. Switching between channels is done using the footswitch, and both channels can be blended by pressing the 'blend' switch if a dual-mic system is used. The Bassbone OD also features a 1/4" instrument output to drive an amp on stage and a low-impedance balanced DI output for a PA system. The XLR output can be assigned 'pre or post' effects depending on the engineer’s preference. A dedicated buffered tuner output works with the MUTE footswitch for silent tuning on stage. For bassists using effects, the 2 input channels can share the same pedals by connecting through the effects loop. All this is complemented by a built-in overdrive section with DRIVE, LEVEL, and TONE controls. A wet/dry mix lets you add a slight grain similar to an Ampeg SVT or a heavy distortion if desired. The OD pedal can be assigned to the loop, overdrive, or both. Finally, a built-in headphone amplifier with a 3.5 mm jack output allows you to use the Bassbone in the bus for long trips between gigs. The Bassbone OD, the most powerful bass preamp in the world in a single pedal.
