The HR* series for clarinet
The JodyJazz HR* clarinet mouthpiece offers a warm sound and free blowing that allows the musician to play across all registers with ease while maintaining excellent intonation and exceptional tone.
Free blowing means there is less resistance when you blow into the mouthpiece, resulting in greater energy efficiency, which provides the player with more flexibility, comfort, and nuances.
Opening for mouthpieces 6 to 10For mouthpiece openings 6 to 10, the HR* is a "Jazz" mouthpiece, as the ceiling is higher to give the mouthpiece more projection and a bit more brightness. If you play a style of music where you want more volume, you will love the JodyJazz HR* clarinet mouthpiece.
Important: Large mouthpiece openings usually require the player to use a much softer reed than smaller mouthpiece openings. Most players use reeds of strength 1.5 - 2.5 with sizes 6 - 10.
