The Shure N44-7 stylus earned its reputation among audiophiles and DJs worldwide thanks to its powerful bass and characteristic smooth, balanced sound. The N44-7 DJ SD stylus developed by JICO offers you these same legendary features, thanks to a Type S tubular aluminum alloy cantilever, precisely crafted to closely match the original Shure cantilevers, while providing an optimal 7° tracking angle.
JICO favored the use of a fully spherical synthetic diamond (so-called "nude") for this stylus, whose tip is cut from a single piece of artificial diamond with characteristics similar to natural diamonds. More costly and higher quality than glued tips, this integral diamond is lighter and offers much better groove tracking of your vinyl, as well as more efficient transmission of vibrations for a much richer sound.
A high-quality synthetic diamond.
The SD range, standing for Synthetic Diamonds, uses synthetic diamonds instead of natural diamonds. Artificially created, these synthetic diamonds share the same optical and physical properties as natural diamonds, while offering very consistent performance at a controlled cost. Thanks to a diamond tip with an adjusted diameter and a new cantilever damping system, synthetic diamonds are capable of delivering a pleasant and precise sound, more defined than a glued natural diamond, while maintaining a lifespan exceeding 200 hours.
A stylus designed primarily for DJs.
This N44A-7 DJ SD stylus offered by JICO, which reproduces sounds similar to authentic Shure styli, benefits from improvements made by the brand to best meet DJs' needs. The recommended tracking force has been increased, from a maximum of 3g for the Shure model to 4.5g for this JICO model to ensure better groove tracking for the most demanding turntablism sessions. The tracking angle has been upgraded, from 10° for the Shure diamond to 7° on this JICO version, for even more faithful playback quality. And to protect the diamond in all circumstances, this model features a protective flap that folds over the stylus to prevent any harmful friction.
