This Cello Concerto was composed in 1783 and was published between 1804 and 1805 under opus number 101 "according to the original manuscript" by Joh. André in Offenbach. It was long falsely attributed to Anton Kraft. The still available autograph, signed "die me Giuseppe Haydn," clearly indicates Haydn's musical authorship.
