A channel strip, otherwise known as a "Channel Strip", is a very practical and efficient recording tool. In a format generally 1 unit or 2 rack units, there is the entire ideal audio system between the microphone and the recorder, namely: a microphone preamp, a compression / gate stage and a filter / equalizer, with more or less possibilities each time.
