Les Editions Durand present a new engraving of one of Claude Debussy's most famous works: the Première Rhapsodie for Clarinet and Piano. This piece, consisting of a single movement of about 8 minutes, is a cornerstone of the clarinet repertoire. Composed in 1909-1910 and first published by Durand, Debussy's original publisher, the work is dedicated to Prosper Mimart, clarinet professor at the Paris Conservatory. This reissue now includes a historical introduction in French and English written by clarinetist Pierre Génisson.
