Made in Spain since the late 1970s, Cuenca guitars rely on artisanal craftsmanship and a rigorous selection of woods. The Cuenca 30 Cutaway follows this philosophy by offering meticulous lutherie, a glossy finish, and modern equipment (Fishman E1) to meet the needs of today's guitarists, without compromising the aesthetics and musicality of Iberian classical guitars.
This guitar is especially suited for intermediate guitarists (and serious beginners) who want a more expressive classical guitar, with the freedom to easily switch from acoustic to amplified playing. It is very suitable for classical, soft flamenco, bossa, pop, and nylon fingerstyle arrangements. The cutaway provides real comfort if you often play beyond the 12th fret.
The solid cedar top is known for its immediate response and warmth: it promotes a soft attack, singing midrange, and beautiful complexity, appreciated both in arpeggios and melodies. The sapelli (back and sides, as well as neck) provides a balanced tonal foundation, with coherent projection and a clean bass register, while the East Indian rosewood fingerboard enhances the feeling of precision and definition. When amplified, the Fishman E1 maintains a faithful and usable sound live, with dynamics adapted to nylon strings.
