Headphones purchased after the failure of a SHURE SRH 940. The SRH 940 is powerful, the sound is clean, but the plastic it is made of is really deplorable. So I was tempted by this HPH-MT8. Thank you Yamaha. The headphones have tremendous power and the sound is clean, very clean. Regarding build quality, nothing to say. It's professional! It's serious! Apart from the impeccable carrying case of the SRH 940 which the HPH-MT8 does not have, it's almost like day and night between the two headphones. Thank you Yamaha.

Really superb, a clear rendering, no color, pure sound, precise spatialization, clean definition, I have several hi-fi, monitoring headphones, 2 to 3 times the price, and well Yamaha did a great job, not to mention the price, a must-know. Bravo... finally an intelligently clean sound.
