RedNet R1

The RedNet R1 is a control surface designed for Red interfaces. It supports various monitoring configurations, ranging from mono to 7.1.4 surround, including Dolby Atmos® and other immersive audio workflows.

Swiss Army Knife.

The RedNet R1 can be configured to control output groups from the multitude of sources and destinations available on Red interfaces. From Pro Tools® | HD and other DAWs, analog inputs and outputs, ADAT and S/PDIF connections, and full Dante® audio ecosystems, audio can be switched and summed across multiple platforms simultaneously and interchangeably. The top panel controls are dedicated to level, reference level preset selection, Dim, Mute, and a variety of Solo modes. An A/B switch allows toggling between monitoring presets and up to four presets for quick switching to check submixes.

Control Tower, Calling?

The RedNet R1 also includes a Dante-compatible talkback, an internal mic preamp for connecting an external talkback microphone, an integrated microphone, and a headphone output to monitor audio inputs and outputs and interact with artists and other network users. Up to four talkback destination groups are available when used with a Red interface (only one talkback group is available when used with other Dante devices).

Flexibility and Power.

Two LCD screens display highly accurate level metering for outputs, sources, and headphone output, providing visual cues for menu navigation. The RedNet Control software is used to quickly set up simple or complex monitoring and routing configurations. Additionally, a 6.35mm jack accepts a footswitch for managing talkback, LFE Mute, and more. The RedNet R1 can be powered via Ethernet to reduce cabling complexity (using PoE standard) or via the supplied power adapter.
