First foray into Istanbul Agop with the La Sultan 18 crash. A success.
Finish: remarkable, largely on par with US competition and superior, in my opinion, to Meinl. Very classy alternation between raw and polished.
Sound: Istanbul being rather jazz-branded, I expected a lighter cymbal. It's not A custom, but not extra thin either. Despite the weight, it responds very quickly to the stick, no need to force. Beautiful deep sound, a bit trashy. Decays relatively quickly (not a problem for me, on the contrary), curious deep halo that persists after hits (very faint, imperceptible when playing).
