With 88 notes and a piano-like mechanism, the Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard offers natural feel with a heavier bass and lighter treble feel. It thus perfectly reproduces the touch of an acoustic piano with a response and a feeling similar to a piano, allowing rapid repetition of notes and perfect control of nuances. In addition, it incorporates the half-pedal function which perfectly simulates the interaction between the damper and the string depending on the depression of the pedal.

The YDP-145 painstakingly reproduces this phenomenon using a revolutionary technology called Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite). VRM Lite technology creates rich, varied sound by simulating the complex interactions created when string vibrations propagate across the soundboard and to other strings, based on keyboard play and pedal usage.
