Superb pedal! Light and small enough to fit in a guitar case. The package was superbly well packed, nothing to say about the cleanliness and the seriousness of woodbrass. Of all the mail order sites where I bought, this one surpasses them all on all levels. But let's get back to the BOSS DS-1 pedal. In a few words, it's a lot of quality at a fairly low price! The adjustment knobs (dist, tone, and level) are very easy to adjust. I was looking for a distortion pedal with a fairly "clear" sound and here I am fulfilled! The pedal is sold in excellent condition with an English and French manual. A battery is already included (cherry on the cake). Excellent pedal that holds well in the highs. The sound is really powerful. But there is always a bit of background noise during solos, you shouldn't turn everything up to max! It is perfectly suitable for metal rhythms. Manual provided in English, but Woodbrass provides one in French. It contains adjustment diagrams for the pedal to obtain specific sounds. At this price! Go for it!

Excellent distortion pedal, versatile, precise, powerful... This pedal is a distortion pedal that covers a large part of styles ranging from blues-rock to rock-metal. Well suited for shred solos. It is the little sister of the Boss Megadistortion.

It allows you to find your own sound, its distortion is great: It's not as thick as fuzz and not as ... harsh as some Trash metal sounds. From rock to hard rock through grunge, it is recommended (especially given its price).

This is my first distortion pedal (and even my first pedal overall) so I can't compare it with others. However, it is extremely easy to use and already allows for several effect adjustments, no regrets for this purchase :)
