The DISTORTION knob adjusts the level of distortion of the effect (the more you turn it to the right, the more pronounced the effect)
The FILTER knob allows you to "shape" the sound by cutting or retaining high frequencies (the more you turn it to the right, the more highs are removed and the sound becomes "rounder")
The VOLUME knob controls the output level of the effect, independently of the distortion: the more you turn it to the right, the louder the output volume
