Like the Custom version of the Les Paul, which Les himself envisioned as a more fancy and "tuxedo" version of his legendary solid body model, the SG Custom also features the high-end appointments found on all Custom models. The Epiphone SG Custom features a double-cut mahogany body that offers exceptional access to the 22 frets. The glued-in mahogany neck adds to the model's renowned sustain. The neck has a 1960 Slim Taper C profile that is not as thin as some Slim Taper profiles but remains fast and comfortable to play. The neck is topped with an ebony fingerboard, equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets and adorned with Custom pearloid block inlays. The 12" radius of the fingerboard is also comfortable and well-suited for first-position tuning and higher bends on the neck without the risk of going out of tune. The Epiphone SG Custom is equipped with gold hardware, including gold inserts on the black Top Hat knobs. The guitar headstock features Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners and is adorned with the Epiphone logo and a Custom Split Diamond inlay, both made of pearloid. The Grover tuners, Graph Tech nut, as well as the fully adjustable Epiphone LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece all work together to maintain tuning stability and precise intonation. The Epiphone SG Custom is equipped with a pair of Epiphone ProBucker Custom humbucking pickups that deliver all the vintage SG tones you expect. Each pickup is connected to its own volume and tone control, as well as a three-way selector switch, allowing you to use either pickup alone or combine them in the ratio that suits your mood and style.
