Arturia DRUMBRUTE IMPACT

Description

Essential Information About the Arturia DrumBrute Impact Analog Drum Synthesizer

  • 10 100% analog drum sounds, punchy and "muscular," with the "Color" function to instantly vary the timbre.
  • Ultra-intuitive sequencer: 64 patterns up to 64 steps, real-time or step-by-step recording, Song mode, and polyrhythm support.
  • Built-in performance tools: Roller, looper, Swing, and Random to create breaks, fills, and variations with a single gesture.
  • Comprehensive connectivity for studio and stage: USB-MIDI, MIDI In/Out, sync clock, group outputs, and line output.

The "Brute" Spirit in a Compact and Sharp Format

DrumBrute Impact condenses Arturia's analog DNA into a more compact and aggressive drum machine than the original DrumBrute. Designed to deliver immediate energy, it relies on dedicated analog circuits and the "Color" function to push harmonics, snap, and distortion to the core of the sound. It is the little sister with a strong character, ideal for beats that hit hard.

For Beatmakers, Live Performers, and Demanding Producers

Whether you are an ambitious beginner or an experienced user, DrumBrute Impact adapts to your workflows. It excels in electro, techno, house, synthwave, hip-hop, lo-fi, ambient, and soundtrack production. In the studio, it quickly chains patterns and complete tracks; on stage, its direct controls and real-time effects invite improvisation without screens or submenus.

Features and Innovations

The analog engine offers 10 instruments with a dense and immediate character. The "Color" function can be activated per instrument and per step to add bite, sharper transients, or targeted saturation, while a switchable global distortion adds optimized crunch for drums. The step/time sequencer provides 64 patterns up to 64 steps, polyrhythm for evolving grooves, Song mode to chain your patterns, as well as Swing, Random, looper, and Roller to shape dynamics live. On the connectivity side, USB-MIDI, MIDI In/Out, versatile sync clock, dedicated group outputs, and convenient audio outputs facilitate integration with your synths, DAW, and live setups.

The sounds of the kick and FM DRUM are good, the hihat is not bad, all the others are really not to my taste..... The metronome sound is better.... The sequencer is very intuitive and simple. The color mode is interesting but lacks specific settings. The interface with a computer is good; easy to use and allows a lot of things. In conclusion, a good analog drum machine with an interesting price. I bought it mainly for the kick sound rather than a Jojo mabase 11 or a Vermoa lancet kick (even if with these devices the sound is more advanced) for a few tens of euros it makes a complete drum machine, even if I'm not a fan of the other tracks of the machine. (The FM drum is good anyway). It looks sturdy and I'm happy with it. It fits well in my set and its lights have a really cool garland effect!... (Show more)

Excellent BAR, even if the snare remains its weak point (to be compensated with a pedal or in MIDI).

I have only been discovering it for a few days. Overall satisfied. Only one drawback, a very scanty manual. If you want it complete and in French, you have to download and print it, more than 40 pages.....

Excellent ergonomics. A small drawback for the sounds. A good cymbal is missing. The handling is immediate, intuitive. The buttons are easily accessible.
