The Compact Rhythmic Companion That Frees Your Practice

Ultra-portable, lightweight, and battery-powered, the KR-11 puts quality rhythmic accompaniment within reach. Designed to play anywhere without amplification, it covers essential rhythms (8-beat, 16-beat) and styles dedicated to guitarists and ukulele players, with immediately usable musical variations.

Who Is It For and What Are Its Uses?

Ideal for guitarists, ukulele players, singers, and producers seeking a creative metronome, the KR-11 suits beginners as well as experienced musicians. Perfect for daily practice, songwriting, teaching, street sessions, or intimate sets, it adapts to pop, blues/R&B, country, ambient, indie aesthetics, and rhythmic explorations in odd meters.

Features and Innovations

Each genre offers 14 variations for a total of 126 patterns, plus 14 user memory slots to save your patterns. Beyond simple time signatures, the KR-11 includes 5/4 and 7/4 meters to break new ground, while the "Swing" function opens the door to looser grooves. The "Pad Play" mode and 16 velocity-sensitive pads allow you to play and record your own phrases with natural dynamic response.

Two footswitches (6.3 mm jack) can control start/stop, fills, and pattern transitions, freeing your hands completely. A Tap Tempo facilitates instant timing adjustment, the LED display ensures clear reading, and the 3.5 mm headphone/line output allows connection to a PA system, mixing console, or guitar amp. The built-in speaker enhanced by Acoustage Bass delivers surprisingly full sound, ideal for rehearsing without extra equipment.

Use
Very satisfied: used for work (like an "improved metronome"). It had to be very simple (0 time lost programming/configuring, etc...), and instant use (I wasn't looking for a TR-909...) Perfect for the use. It does "fills"/breaks (it's rewarding...) and it displays the tempo, so you can note it between work sessions. I had looked at a Flamma FC12 (too limited) and the Mooer (does not display tempo -> "deal breaker"). To improve it: there should be more 3/4 styles. The volume adjustment wheel on the side is inconvenient. The "outro" function would be needed. I doubt a firmware update is possible (no interface). It's a bit expensive - but just released so not surprising. Otherwise, it's a great product, recommended.... (Show more)
