The transparent EMAD bass drum batter heads are made with a single 10-mil film thickness and offer the ability to adjust sustain with two interchangeable damping rings. On the other hand, the EMAD resonant heads are designed with a 10 cm offset microphone port, cut into their single 10-mil film thickness, and also feature a foam damping ring around the port circumference to better reduce unwanted overtones.
