The Audio Technica AT2040 mic delivers professional-grade broadcast sound in an affordable package. While designed for podcasting, the AT2040 can also be used for other content creation setups, such as live streaming, gaming, or voiceover work.

The large diaphragm element of this microphone delivers smooth, natural sound in any application. The special multi-stage internal windshield (combining a foam net and a non-woven pop filter) combined with the hypercardioid polar pattern achieves a very directional and tight pickup that reduces external noise while producing a warm sound and classic. The AT2040 podcast microphone makes it easy to record single or double voices in the same room. So even using two mics to record podcasts for two, users will enjoy excellent sound pickup.

Use

I do not regret buying this one, time will tell but I think it will do the job. I use it to make 'cultural podcasts on SoundCloud'. When I switch to Audition, the spectrum is clean when I set my sound card to 10 o'clock, even though it sounds low, it's better to have an under-modulated sound than a saturated sound! In any case, I recommend it.
