L? ATM 230 is particularly good at capturing percussion and drum sounds, within the famous Artist Series range from Audio-Technica. The exclusive capsule of this microphone has been designed to excel in applications that require a high level of admissible sound pressure, with a very balanced rendering. The hyper-cardioid polar pattern reduces side and rear pick-up, for better isolation of the desired sound source. Its small size allows it to be ideally placed, as close as possible to the instrument, in a wide variety of configurations. The ATM230 is perfectly suited for close miking of toms, snare drums and other percussion.
