Sennheiser E609 SILVER

Description

The Sennheiser E609 is a dynamic instrument microphone, with super-cardioid directivity, specially designed for taking sound very close to the speaker of guitar amplifiers. It is also very efficient for sound recording of percussion, snare and bass drum.

Its "flat profile" form was developed mainly for guitar amps. Having a high output level, the E609 very faithfully captures the distortion of guitars. The placement of the microphone is very easy: just let it hang in front of the speaker by the XLR cable. No more microphone stand! Made in Germany, its shockproof construction will allow you to take it everywhere with you.

A super lightweight and compact microphone. Bought as a complement to a Rode NT1A which is great for acoustics but struggled a lot more with overdrive from a guitar amp output. With the e609, it works much better and I manage to get a sound much closer to what I hear from the amp output.
