I'm not a technician so I'm simply describing my feelings. I was lent a sm58, so I was able to make the difference between the beta58a and the latter which undoubtedly has a clearer sound, no need to put the mic against the mouth, like with the sm58 which forgives some interpretation errors whereas the beta58a requires more precision in singing, it can be nuanced even more. Basically the sm58 is made for rock, the beta58a for vocals such as jazz, new French song. I was bothered by the sound of the sm58, not convinced, lacked nuance, now I think I have the mic I need. Alright, that's enough, time to get to work now...

After having had Senheiser E955, Shure 57, Shure 58, AKG, .... and none of them pleased me (lack of gain, feedback, flat voice,...), I bought this Shure a bit reluctantly. What a surprise!!! Insane gain, I can't make it feedback unless I really try (when I see my singer whose Senheiser always feedbacks...), it's perfect. Beautiful tone. Only small flaw: no on/off button even if it's not useful since it never feedbacks and has no background noise. Buy with your eyes closed!!!! Lionel, singer for 20 years, powerful slightly hoarse (and rock) voice.

I want to thank woodbrass for the fast delivery. I received my package in 2 days flat. I thought it would take longer since I am in the DOM. Since I was absent, I will pick up my package tomorrow and I will test it at my rehearsal. I will give you my feedback afterwards. A big bravo to woodbrass

A high-end product derived from the legendary SM 58! On a Presonus studio channel preamp, it's really top quality, I am very pleasantly surprised... My first surprise, delivery in one day!!! Thanks to whom? Thanks MR woodbrass.com and all his team.

I thank woodbrass because I finally found the microphone I needed. The sound is so clear and crisp. A superb microphone that exactly reproduces everything you do with your voice.
What to say, long live woodbrass and Shure microphones

Great mic, the sound is really clear compared to the Shure SM58, ambient noises are well attenuated and despite that, you don't have to be 0.1mm from the mic to be heard! Top!

A very convincing purchase. Perfectly matches the use I have for it, the sound capture is flattering in the bass and the Shure robustness is there... I really like it a lot.

Ideal microphone for voice, which highlights it well while avoiding low and high feedback. More powerful than the ones I used, it allows better adjustment. I recommend it.
