An IEM Developed with Stage Expertise

Resulting from the collaboration between Prodipe and sound engineer Ludovic Lanen, the IEM 5120 was designed to offer accessible professional quality. It meets the standards expected by musicians and touring technicians while remaining simple to install and operate daily.

Who Is It For and What Are Its Uses?

Ideal for singers, instrumentalists, DJs, speakers, and monitor technicians, the IEM 5120 is suitable for stage performances, rehearsals, and mobile setups. The included earphones provide good ambient noise isolation to preserve mix accuracy and listening comfort, even at moderate volume levels.

Key Features for Precise and Stable Monitoring

The UHF transmission covers the 630 to 680 MHz range with 100 mono channels, helping to avoid interference and easily integrate into an existing wireless system. High dynamic range and low distortion preserve the nuances of playing, while the range of up to 80 m under optimal conditions ensures solid reception.

On the practical side, the transmitter offers Combo XLR/6.35mm Jack inputs and a 3.5mm Jack input, plus control outputs. The compact bodypack powers the IEM3 headphones via its 3.5mm Jack output. The set comes with a carrying case and ear tips in various sizes for a comfortable and secure fit.

This is the first monitoring system I use, so I can't compare. I've often encountered stages equipped with bad or poorly managed monitors, or even without monitors! This system does much better. You hear everything you want to hear (what you send from the console). And you hear it as the audience hears it! Some mention sound quality issues... I've never experienced stages with Hi-Fi sound quality, even with some pros! I kept the supplied earphones. They isolate quite well (ear protection) and, consequently, there's no need to set a high listening volume to hear well. You hear as well as when listening to music on the internet with earphones. It's not super sound quality but that's not what you ask from monitors. I hear what the band plays, I hear what I play, and I hear if I'm well placed in the "mix" or not. That's what I wanted. This system does it. It seems not specified in the description: the receiver has a volume button. The transmitter also has one (one for the left channel, one for the right, so you can personalize your listening) which helps limit saturation when a pseudo sound engineer adjusts the console like adjusting a Kurt Cobain amp.... The transmitter also has a headphone output and a line output that allows connecting another monitoring system if needed. The transmitter plugs into a socket with the supplied power supply. The receiver works with 2 batteries. It lasts a few hours (more than 4 hours with medium listening volume). There is a charge indicator on the receiver. So, at intermission, if it's low, you change. Better to put new batteries at the start of each concert to be sure. But I prefer that to systems with rechargeable batteries that will have no autonomy after some time. Very happy with my purchase.... (Show more)
