Description

The MPX8 is an SD card sample player, a real portable and autonomous small sampler with 8 dynamic pads. Easy to use in sometimes complicated situations. We always need a sample player, for example to trigger jingles during a radio show, various sound effects or soundscapes during a match or a play, or to dress musically podcasts. Until now, apart from the computer, we had to equip ourselves with dedicated machines that were quite expensive and not really easy to use.

In this context, the arrival of the MPX8 greatly facilitates things with its eight pads and its SD card reader, since it suffices to copy the samples of your choice, in WAV format, to an SD memory card from your computer, then insert it into the MPX8 to access the sample and assign it directly to the pad of your choice. The different configurations of the eight pads can obviously be saved on the memory card for later loading and use.

The eight backlit pads of the MPX8 are sensitive to velocity, but also assignable in Midi to control or be controlled from an external device thanks to a Midi input and output. 5 pin Din format (via adapters supplied). The two 6.35mm jack outputs allow the line level stereo audio signal to be sent directly to a mixer or amplification system. A headphone output is available with a 3.25 mm jack to discreetly prepare audio files, and thus, for example, adjust the level or tone of the sample, but also its playback mode, with or without loop, or else for add a slight dose of reverberation.

Very good responsiveness, the only drawback is the loading time between the different sets... there is not enough memory to store everything at once, otherwise a very good device and very responsive once the samples are in memory.
