I received it this morning, well packaged and on time (as usual).
Nothing to complain about quality: it's Godin! It is very well finished, the craftsmanship is good.
The guitar was perfectly set up, I just slightly lowered the strings and I was ready to play.
However, for those who have never had it in their hands, the color is a bit misleading, it is a bit darker and more matte.
The sound is very good, well balanced between bass and treble, even if acoustically it doesn't have much projection.
I still think it requires a higher string gauge but I don't know what gauge was mounted on it (I think it must be 11/52).
The neck is pleasant, quite flat. The tuners hold the tuning well
For the moment I haven't been able to plug it into an amp made for this kind of guitar, so it was plugged into a Marshall Master Lead.
After a few quick amp adjustments and playing with the guitar's tone, I managed to switch from blues to gypsy jazz without too much difficulty. Even with a little distortion it sounds good. Of course, no question of playing metal on it but after all it is not made for that.
The Godin P90 type pickup may not be the best in its kind but it is quite correct, I don't even consider changing it.
If you are looking for an archtop guitar without having the means for a Gibson ES125 you can go for it with your eyes closed (or almost) I still recommend trying it first because tastes and colors... Great value for money.... (Show more)

Good guitar, Godin delivers here a quality instrument considering the price. Of course, this instrument must be "plugged in" to deliver the potential of this pickup. I like the velvety sound and it matches my playing style. Some small unwanted string vibrations.
