We won't give 5 stars for the plastic case (but sturdy) and the flashy sticker beautifully stuck crookedly on the front does not reflect the best of made in China. Beyond the somewhat confusing design of the object, the potentiometers are quite firm and the promise of a hybrid device is kept. We indeed have both an analog mixing console with built-in effects and its stereo output, and at the same time the ability to record 4 channels in parallel in real time via the USB output (tested on an old Macbook with Audacity while waiting to buy a modern PC and install Cubase with the included license). You can also record in parallel the sound of a "dry" microphone and the one processed by the effects generator. Afterwards, it would be necessary to compare the acquisition with an equivalent Focusrite device, but I didn't really like having to always do everything with the mouse on the screen. So in the end, a real alternative to a 4X4 interface whose ease of use is not compromised by a design that is not its best asset. To my knowledge, it is also the only device with these capabilities.
