Hello everyone, the order went well. At the same time, I have never had any problems with the Woodbrass site, always reliable. Super fast delivery, no site is faster for delivery, Woodbrass remains the best in this field. However, when I received my package (the pod ux2), the box was all damaged, torn everywhere, but since the item was intact, I won't say anything, especially since this is the first time this has happened, so I won't fuss over a box.

pod ux2 for this price range is top, the modeling is on point. I haven't tested connecting a microphone, simply no microphone anyway. Good little audio interface and it works with other software like Cubase, Logic Pro 9 for those who have a Mac, not sure about Pro Tools. If you want an audio interface to record yourself, this one is more than adequate for the price. I will place another order at Christmas to buy the Line6 FBV Shortboard pedalboard to control the pod ux2 and be able to change sound and effects in real time.

Regarding the sound that the POD produces, it's excellent. Almost no latency and it interfaces perfectly with Reason 6 (which I use). However, as long as everything is not OK on the license side with POD Farm, no sound comes out. And installing all the software is a real hassle. I had to reboot my Mac five or six times before I could use the card. Fortunately, once all that is installed, you have the satisfaction of having a good guitar sound, interesting effects on the voice, otherwise, I think I would have thrown everything out the window. That said, I am happy with my purchase, once the installation is done, everything works wonderfully...

Good product. However, I really had trouble installing the various software. Otherwise, good sound capture. The pad is easy to use. I still have some difficulties recording guitar and voice at the same time on 2 separate tracks. I believe it is supposedly possible.

There! There, I say yes, there! Excellent product! Received on time, and tried this weekend on an 'ACER Aspire 7738' laptop (nothing exceptional in terms of performance, so). In one word, I would say: the SOUND, finally! (well, okay that's 3 words) To elaborate and so you have reference points, I started the home studio with a SoundBlaster XFi Elite Pro, which allowed me to record my first album (COMP~Position, cf. myspace.com/lescalbdr) with Cubase LE. If you go listen to the tracks, you'll see that I fell into the classic traps (-2/3 db at least compared to commercial recordings, generally "amateur" sound, clipping, loss of final "s", etc...) but overall, for a first try, it was okay. Then, I worked with the EDIROL UA25EX still on Cubase LE, but nothing published yet. (sound clearly more "pro" than the XFi, and it's a very good interface, no problem, but a bit less 'user-friendly' than the UX2 (hardware selector for sampling frequency for example). And it seems less "fierce" regarding mic preamps. (I could have continued with the EDIROL, but I had long wanted to try Line6 and the software pack offered matched exactly what I was looking for) The most important strong points: - direct monitoring (which relieves the machine's processor from this processing, and TOTALLY eliminates latency problems [technically, monitoring of tracks on the DAW is simply disabled but you hear all effects applied to your input(s)]) - POD Farm 2 (2.5 after upgrade)! That's the cherry on the cake... It gives you a selection of amps / preamps / effect pedals / compressors / equalizers that exist in reality and models them with a precision that frankly blew me away, and what's great is that you build your chain of elements as you want, manipulating (drag&drop) "miniature" graphical models of these elements that you can adjust with the same buttons/settings as the real ones :) Once validated, the 'FREE' version provided offers you dozens of presets, some based on known songs (Cocaine, Purple Haze, Highway to Hell, etc...), and when you choose 'Cocaine' for example, well, you play 'Cocaine', you hear The Sound of 'Cocaine'... - a mic preamp... I have no words... crazy stuff! (tested with a Shure SM58, at 30 centimeters (!) from my mouth + pop filter, input gain at 80% without obvious audible saturation, and my voice covered the fully saturated guitar without problem, and with almost the impression of singing into a condenser mic [plus "tight" and without picking up as much ambient noise]) - the DAW that comes with it, 'Ableton Live 7', is really very well designed, intuitive, focused on essentials without lacking advanced functions (automation, envelopes, etc...) (but I haven't had time to work seriously on it) - and then you also have 'Reason4 Adapted' (more than enough for me at first glance), RiffWorksT4 (interesting, certainly the most "gadget" of all, but it can still be useful) ********* SUMMARY ************************************ So, to summarize: if you already have a pro or semi-pro quality audio interface WITH direct monitoring, and effects that suit you well, well what are you doing here...? Otherwise, you can just get POD Farm 2 (simply huge), but if you're looking for a good interface to start the home studio, throw yourself on it! In my opinion, there's no better choice / best value for money, with a potential for "pro" sounds (POD Farm 2 + "semi-pro" interface) almost infinite. ***************************************************** Note: The external case is black "grained" plastic that gives a general impression of solidity, but I wouldn't throw it on the ground either... (At the same time, I don't do that with those that have metal cases). After more than 7 months of use, I can say that I am delighted! :) First of all, a word about the service: fast shipping, painless, carefully packaged. Perfect! Then the product: the design is pleasant. The installation from the CD went smoothly for me. Then Line6 provides software that searches for and installs driver updates, which is appreciated. The sound quality is simply impressive, as is the absence of latency (I expected worse on a PC running with 512 MB of RAM at the time of the first tests). The POD farm plugin is really easy to use and the various elements available to create "THE" sound allow for fun for quite a while. The XLR inputs and phantom power are also welcome. Last point of satisfaction: the perfect integration of the UX2 and POD farm into Propellerhead products, and into Record in particular. I do not regret my purchase!

Great product, the variety of sounds produced by the amps and effects is impressive, I finally manage to get a sound very close to the artists I appreciate :) The sound rendered by the recordings is amazing. Everything is easy to use. Pod farm is intuitive and there are even presets for those who don't want to configure the amps. The only negative point, the annoying drivers to install, but I seem to be the only one apparently... (my machine didn't want them ..., a first for me, but I managed to solve the problem fortunately :) Just had to go through the interface that Windows offers when it detects new hardware and indicate the location where the drivers had been unpacked during the driver installation which just before had not been taken into account by your machine (I hope you follow ;)

I'm really not disappointed! This interface exactly meets my expectations! That is to say: recording guitar and bass parts under live7 on my Hp dv2000 laptop equipped with Vista WITHOUT LATENCY. I have 9.02ms input and 18.1ms output (inaudible) As for the POD FARM modeling software, it's fabulous! It really offers a lot of possibilities, including using it as a vst... For installation it's not complicated, but you have to activate the product online. Then frankly the beast is pleasant to look at, the two vu-meters are backlit with a fairly warm orange light. Then hats off for the fast delivery!
