I've had a Höfner Ingition Beatle Bass for a few years and decided to upgrade it with a German control panel and bridge. the standard "staple" pickups are Ok but I wanted to "beef" them up with a bit more character. Well, the MXR M87 bass compressor was exactly what was needed (I already have the 10 band for my guitars). The attack and release controls allow a wide set of changes to be applied in terms of decay and sustain, and the idea of dual input/output controls makes a great difference to the end results. Not the cheapest piece of kit available but the end result is superb !

Very good compressor .... Be careful with the input and output gain that you need to learn to manage well .... ++++

One word: super! I'm enjoying this compressor, easy to use and delivering a very clear and effective sound. No issues.
