Excellent method, very comprehensive that starts from zero to go up to slap, walking bass including blues among others.
Be careful though, this method requires knowing how to read notes in bass clef because there are tabs only from the middle of volume 2 and even then, not everywhere. The exercises are generally a score to decipher and implement with the backing track, illustrating what has just been explained.
The backing tracks are very nice and allow you to play immediately with a group and have fun, the pieces given as exercises in all styles, rock, blues, country, jazz, soul, funk...
It does not teach you to play riffs or reproduce pieces but to play a musical instrument in the full sense of the term and in a playful way by enjoying playing from the first exercise. It is a method that starts with the 1st position, then 2nd then 3rd to then move to the box, then the 5th, major scales, minor scales, arpeggios, etc. in parallel it teaches rhythms and different grooves, shuffle, syncopation, etc.
I am delighted with this method, even if I have just finished volume 1. It will accompany me for a long time in my progress.
