As a novice player I opted for a mid range cajon and it is absolutely perfect. Great fun to play with nice warm base. I am still adjusting top screws to find the optimum snare sound! I can't really compare as I haven't played many other cajon's but for getting started it's perfect and you can't beat the price! Woodbrass even shipped to uk for free.

I have been umming and ahhing over buying a cajon for ages and opted for a mid range one being as I am only a beginner. However this is a real nice sounding drum and great fun to play, I wished I had bought one ages ago. O
