I just acquired this headset with the Zoom R16 recorder. Very linear listening, no loudness effect. Interesting for mixing. Very good value for money. Only downside: the volume wheel integrated into the cable. Even if it can bring a "+" it seems fragile to me and may cause hissing noises with wear that can be unpleasant. Already experienced on a headset from another brand.. It's true that the old pro headsets like Beyer had thicker cables so more reliable!! Value for money, more than interesting!!!

Hello. First, it took a little time to adapt the membranes to get a real idea of what this headset offers. Being used to Sennheiser and Koss in the same price range, I can say that I am very satisfied with this headset. Usage: mainly listening on a sound card, occasional mixing at private parties. Music type: Opera, classical (piano, organ, violins), symphonic metal, classic rock, guitars, also electronic. What strikes first is the excellent sound definition, the highs do not overpower the bass frequencies. At first, you have the impression of being in a concert hall with a slight echo, but after 2 days of use I no longer hear that at all. Ultra-low tracks like some compositions by Max Richter pass wonderfully and you discover instruments that you didn't hear before. The mids are balanced and not overemphasized, and the highs are a delight (on the lyrical and harmonics of the violins). To finish with the sound, I did quick frequency tests and everything seems very linear and even the high frequencies are well present and in low frequency it goes very low. Isolation: rather good, but you can still fortunately hear the environment, but without discomfort. The 32-ohm impedance also allows use on a portable player (tested on Nokia 5800) with more than correct volume. Regarding volume, note a very practical volume control on the cable, which I don't use often once set at 80%. The cable is of good quality with a gold connector. The headset is comfortable I find for a closed headset, does not get hot even after several hours, the padding of the headband is excellent. The ear pads seem hard to the touch but on the head everything is fine. The materials are of good quality and the whole seems designed to last unlike my Sennheisers. I was pleasantly surprised by the fairly high efficiency for a headset in this range. I highly recommend this headset for a very neutral listening, but also for a hi-fi listening on a small budget if the isolation (although light) does not bother you, even for multimedia use. Like a good monitoring headset, all types of music pass well even the most demanding. I note this brand on the side which I was not used to for future purchases.
