I knew the higher model which I no longer need. Even a bit less rich in features, this THR5 will do perfectly.

Good product. Easy to use.

Simple and effective, such a practical amp, it's "plug and play" that avoids endless connections and adjustments when you don't always have the time. It is compact and easily (veeeery easily) portable. Robust and versatile, it has the basic effects that are enough to enhance your playing. The effects are of very good quality, the different saturations too, yes it's not tube but it still comes close. The USB cable to connect it to the computer is provided, convenient for using the Yamaha software which will allow you to fine-tune the equalization and benefit from an effective noise gate and compressor. The small aux cable is also provided to connect a smartphone or MP3 to add any accompaniment or backing track. What more to say about this little box which in my opinion is close to perfection, I am also amazed by its power, everything is there... Personally, it's a flawless product, well I'll nitpick a bit so people don't think I was paid by the brand to leave such a review: only one tone knob for equalization on the amp (but it actually does the job well once you learn to use it properly) and the price, it's the most expensive modeling amp in its category, but honestly I finally got my money's worth. I'm really not disappointed, just delighted!

Yamaha THR are the only way to have the sound of tubes at home without disturbing the neighborhood... moreover, it serves as an audio interface and can be autonomous for 8 hours thanks to its batteries... and forget the Boss Katana air and vox Adio Air GT which can't compare.... here you feel like you're on a tube amp....
