Even more beautiful in real life than in the photo, it is varnished and therefore shiny and not matte as it appears in the image. The grids are milled and show some irregularities due to handwork, which does not detract from the design of the object. In terms of weight, it is quite light: 2.2 kg, which is very pleasant compared to my old doumbek of 3.3 kg. The sound is very good, the "Doum" gives a lot of bass, while the "Ta" sounds quite clear. The skin, however, seems quite fragile, to be seen with wear. However, it comes with a spare skin, which is not specified in the product sheet. The supplied cover is quite cheap and unpadded, there are two handles for carrying but they are too short to carry it as a backpack.
