The sound of John Petrucci himself is mine. This microphone totally meets my expectations and what I heard on the internet. Perfect to go with an effects rack. Very compressed sound.

I bought this pickup to replace the stock pickup on my Ibanez RG (infinity 4 pickup) which lacked definition and precision. Now, I'm not disappointed! Besides the harmonics that soar, there is a real potential for solid rock. It's neither a muddy sound nor a cold sound, it's a sound with personality and a tendency to spit out chords. Equally comfortable with heavy saturated chords as with almost clean rhythms, you really have to dive into the sharp solo to realize the quality of the pickup. The presence of mids prevents the sound from being shrill but rather balanced. I recommend it to any guitarist who wants to improve their guitar if the craftsmanship is good; a cheap guitar remains a cheap guitar even with Dimarzio pickups.
