top notch, an instrument of great beauty, super playable size, so it plugs in, the whole package!

I've been using it for 3 months alongside a 2008 A&L Cedar, which is my first guitar. This roadhouse is generally easy to play, very fun, and sounds good. However, I quickly replaced the original phosphor bronze strings, which were too harpsichord-like, with 11-52 bronze strings; this reduces brightness and strengthens the bass. Compared to my Cedar (same strings - higher gauge), I find it more versatile despite more present mids. In tuning, it's nicer, and it guided me towards a gypsy compass playing style. Fingerstyle playing requires more precision due to the closer strings on the roadhouse. I bought it for singing in the living room with my kids where my dreadnought is too powerful, and for that, it's perfect. If I had to do it again, I would start guitar on a parlor size.
