Good little guitalele that does the job but will definitely need a visit to the luthier to change strings, nuts plus adjustment which should notably improve the pleasure.

To start with, the delivery: Very fast (order placed Saturday afternoon and delivery around 9am on Tuesday morning) and the packaging extremely careful!!! Honestly, I was very pleasantly surprised, I have never seen so much care given to a package (It even specifies who checked the package). Regarding the instrument, I was charmed as soon as I had it in my hands. It is very beautiful, sounds good and seems more solid than a ukulele. It is clearly not a toy. Regarding the finish, I examined it thoroughly and for my part no problem with paint or protruding frets. You can barely see a bit of glue at the saddle nut but you really have to look hard to see it. I received this guitalele with a black case. Admittedly, it is not super reinforced but we are not going to be picky; the quality/price ratio is unbeatable (I checked). This will be my daughter's first real instrument for her 4 years and no doubt she will be delighted! I will certainly come back to the site to order a 2/4 guitar when the time comes, or even before, and I will not hesitate to recommend Woodbrass all around me!!! Thank you and congratulations to the whole team for the quality of your services, keep it up!

I was looking for a guitar that would allow me to travel because I find the classic format really cumbersome when traveling with a backpack. I was hesitating between a guitar and a ukulele and the Guitalélé is a mix of both which suits me perfectly! Good sound, beautiful finish, beautiful color and quality, plus very light and compact for traveling! A real joy, I can't do without it anymore! Woodbrass: excellent, impeccable delivery.
The GL1 guitar: nice look, pretty wood. The frets are quite small since the neck of a real guitar has to fit into a reduced size. It's confusing at first but you can play it very quickly. Barre chords are more difficult but you get used to them as well. Very quickly you have fun with this instrument which allows you to accompany yourself singing in a key you are not used to. However, there is a real problem with intonation. From the first frets, the notes are shifted upwards which is unpleasant to the ear. One would expect better intonation. Since nothing can be adjusted, you have to deal with it. The tuning stability is also average. You have to retune very often. Maybe changing the strings would fix this problem. The neck intonation is really a major problem for me.

A kind of mini guitar with a pleasant high-pitched sound. However, Yamaha could make a small effort on the bass-treble balance by, for example, putting high-tension strings in the treble (the bass is very good). It reminds me of Yamaha's small classical study guitar, the C40 M. The case is a bit thin. Very fast delivery, bravo woodbrass!

About the instrument next: very surprising at first! At first glance, it looks a bit like a "toy", but as soon as you hold it, you know it's a full-fledged musical instrument! The neck and the fretboard are very pleasant.
At first, I had a bit of difficulty finding my bearings and placing the chords correctly but that comes very quickly! The sound is closer to the ukulele. The instrument sounds just right and holds the tuning very well; I didn't need to retune it. I take it everywhere and became "addicted" very quickly; what a pleasure to be able to play everywhereeven in the car!without the constraint of the size of my guitar and the fear of hitting it! In short, a very good instrument that allows you to practice and enjoy yourself... even if my "big one" remains my favorite for outings!

Slightly larger than a yukulele, the fact that it has 6 strings allows us to find the guitar chord positions. The neck is 4.7cm wide, with frets of 2.3 cm near the guitar head. Markers on the top of the instrument at the 5th and 7th frets, the 12th being at the neck/body joint, harmonics come out easily at this point. A beautiful finish. A good little sound projection, considering the size of the instrument. Ideal for a child, or to take everywhere, especially since it comes with a case. However, when played with other instruments, the sound will quickly be "covered" by the others. A small downside with the tuning mechanism of the 3rd string, which requires slight retuning at each use (with the original strings, so to be reviewed once changed). In short, very happy with my purchase.

I was looking for a guitar that can be carried everywhere - including in an airplane cabin, I tested it and it fits! If the main criterion is the portability of the instrument, there is no hesitation. Of course, it doesn't sound like a guitar, but it's very sufficient and the sound is even very good given the size of the instrument. The neck is quite quickly mastered despite its size. A small downside, but nothing serious compared to the very low price of the guitalélé, is the case which needs to be padded a bit by yourself if you really want to transport it safely, and the original set of strings (to change them, you need to take a normal nylon string set), quite fragile. But at this price, it's worth it.

This instrument is great. I am a beginner and yet I had no trouble handling it, plus the fact that it doesn't take up space encourages me to take it everywhere, so I almost always play. However, the original string set didn't last long; that's the only negative point I have for this instrument. In conclusion, very well finished instrument, very good sound, undeniable fun aspect, mini price. If you want something original, buy with your eyes closed.

A very good value for money. The guitar is pleasant to play, the sound is quite good (bass close to classical guitar and treble close to ukulele, depending on the tuning). The case is very practical and you can take your instrument everywhere, really everywhere... However, the guitalele remains a fun object because its size makes playing difficult (I don't have very large hands but left-hand playing remains, for me, limited). However, simple barre chords and accompaniment do not pose problems. In conclusion, a very good complement to a traditional guitar for your travels or to wait but not a teaching tool; overall very positive. PS: thanks to Woodbrass for their efficiency!

Excellent guitar, the sound is however debatable, a bit "muffled", similar to that of a ukulele, but I find it very good for the size of the resonance box. It is true that it goes out of tune quickly, it is necessary to tune it at each new use. The black case is simple but very good and very practical. Fast shipping with a very well packed item, as always. Overall it is a very good value for money, I highly recommend it, especially for occasional use (holidays, parties), it is very practical to take your music wherever you want. However, if you want to learn guitar seriously I do not recommend starting with this one... except maybe for a child.
