The differences with the old Jazz Bass Mexico pickups are really there, more attack, more homogeneity between the sound of the strings, especially with the G string, more roundness and growl.

Installed to replace an original set on a '97 JB US Deluxe that was starting to wear out. Not disappointed at all with the change, quite the opposite! You lose a bit of high frequencies, but they anchor the bass a bit better in the mix: precise hellish lows and high mids that growl. For slap, it's not the best; for that, it's better to turn to more modern sets.
