User on Linux (Debian Trixie/Sid - updated in March 2024 at the time of writing this review), I can say it works well in class compliant mode, with Pipewire (and qpwgraph) for connections. ------ The sound is perfect.

However, there are some small steps to take to switch to Class compliant. The Linux-mao site explains in French the small steps to make the Babyface pro work in this class compliant mode.
------
At first, the usage is not quite intuitive, but there are videos explaining how to use the card with Class Compliant mode. It is easily found with a good search engine. But you need to speak English.
------
However, I don't know if it is possible to use the sound management software offered with this card under Linux. There is no Linux version in any case. I don't know if Wine could work. But when you choose to use Linux for MAO, you know that the software part is complicated...

First of all, I want to congratulate Woodbrass for their services and the speed of order processing. Ordered on Wednesday, received on Friday morning...
I was already using an RME product, the Hdsp 9632 in PCI format, I was always hesitant to switch to a USB connection model fearing higher latencies.
Impressions after 2 evenings of testing, very impressed by the sound which is exceptional and crystal clear. Regarding latency, to my surprise, it is currently better than with my Hdsp 9632.
Conclusion, I am completely satisfied with my new RME card which is well worth the 700 invested.
