When buying Gibson Gear, I thought it would be like on a Stratocaster where the pot knobs slide like a pair of skis on a Megève slope. Not at all! I had a hell of a time removing the original knobs on my brand new SG Junior. And the same for putting the new ones back on, you have to press hard and they can go on crooked. In the end, the pots still work (luckily) and aesthetically the result pleases me. But it feels like the Gibson knobs are not knurled and the plastic crushes for one-time use. So my 2005 DC Faded Cherry will keep its 4 original knobs, a bit less classy, but too much hassle to change.
