After four years of research and no less than eleven prototypes, Stefan from "Sound Service" arrived at this result that he had proposed to Paul Landers. At first glance very minimalist, this box offers heavy sounds and just a little hint of delay.

I have searched my whole life for this sound: heavy, precise, surgical, industrial, Goth metal. If you want to make your guitar (provided it has an EMG 81) sound like Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, Clawfinger, Emigrate etc, it is an excellent investment. Directly on a console, in a sound system or a sound card via XLR, the sound is excellent (Landers even provides the different settings for his various sounds (main, lead, doom, clean, surf) as well as settings like Metallica or Nirvana in the manual. Otherwise, use it with a guitar amp in the effects loop return (to avoid using the preamp and directly drive the power amp with the PL1, which acts as a preamp). An excellent, very professional and convincing product.

Excellent product; true to my expectations.

Determined to go without an amp for the stage, I chose the Fly Rig for its maneuverability (32 cm wide!) as well as its XLR input, and the PL1 in particular for its excellent clean channel equipped with a compressor and a bright switch (like on Fender amps from the sixties), perfect for crystalline or funky sounds. I appreciate the quality of all the effects. I should mention that I don't play metal but pop! If you like the style of the Smiths, for example, you will easily get Johnny Marr's sound. The distortion channel is also used like a classic fuzz. For crunch sounds, it is preferable to add an overdrive upstream, or turn to another Fly Rig. Small regret: it is not possible to use the vibrato and delay simultaneously, nor to select them with the foot.
