Well, there are a lot of things to say... Goodrick's "bible" is not a "method" as we usually understand it (i.e., it's not a few notions => exercise 1, ex 2, etc...) understand that it is not a book to tell you WHAT TO PLAY but how to approach the instrument in a global and even total way! So for me, it is a reference book that can serve you your whole life, which has an extremely analytical approach to the instrument (Goodrick is an outstanding jazz guitarist!), which will explain concepts or ways of practicing that you will find useless at first but that may speak to you months later! For my part, a book like this is unique in its kind. I can recommend it for a beginner but not advise them to read it all at once.
