This is my second guitar, to replace my 27-year-old Strat and yes, the granny is retired, the EC is very good for metal, heavy, hard rock... because these 2 active pickups do the job. The neck is a delight for fast playing. The only downside is the dull black color, it's pretty but it leaves marks. Finally, thanks to Woodbrass for the speed, ordered on Saturday at 12:30 pm received on Wednesday at 10 am

Once again, Woodbrass delivers faster than light!
The accessories are top-notch (EMG pickups, locking tuners...)
On the lutherie side, the satin finish is wonderful, which avoids having to sand the neck to make it playable (tested on an LP Studio, it's great). One small downside: the neck binding is not really pretty: without asking for a custom shop quality like Vigier or Lag (French models), we can at least expect a finish level equivalent to what you find on Yamaha (I have a CPX 500 II)... you have to find some flaws!

After testing it for a few hours, here is my opinion: comfort is there (pleasant neck and overall top ergonomics), a very aggressive sound in distortion and soft to the ear in clean, quality components (nut, tuners... very well made). Note: in the photo the paint looks gray/black but actually it is a slightly more pronounced black.
Delivery: package particularly well protected and Chronopost delivery in 24h for only 3 more than the displayed price.
In short, pure happiness!

As for the product, well it's what I expected, I already have an Ibanez RG2570, I was hesitating to install EMG pickups on it, but I had doubts about the Pickup-Wood combination, so I treated myself with this beautiful (very beautiful) Ltd. I can't tell you how it compares to its Eclipse counterpart but I enjoy playing this EC1000 much more than my RG. Of course, I don't have the same access to the high notes and the abandonment of the Floyd is intentional, so frankly convinced.
